Robert Weddle Born 4 October 1953 - 15 March 2008
Arizona Ranger and SWLG member Bob Weddle went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2008.Bob was born on October 4, 1953 in Alice, Texas and spent his life serving his community with fund-raisers and working with youth. He also enjoyed spending his time outdoors horseback riding and shooting guns.
Bob served as regional director for Modern Woodmen of America in Mesa, AZ and was recently elected president of the Arizona Fraternal Congress and currently holds the title of vice president of the Arizona/New Mexico Fraternal Insurance Counselors.
Bob lived in Vernon, Texas for many years where he sang and played guitar in his country band, "Bobby Weddle and the Stardust Cowboys."
Bob was also a graduate of Purdue University Professional Management Institute and also attended Vernon Regional College in Vernon, Texas.
He served on the Agency Management training council and was a member of the world renowned Santa Rosa Palomino Club in Vernon, Texas.
Bob was also a Sergeant and Public Relations Officer with the Arizona Rangers, Superstition Company. Bob was a dedicated member of Southwest Legends Gunfighters and worked with many in the community and was devoted to his friends and family. He will be greatly missed by his friends, family and the Arizona Rangers those he worked with.
Survivors include his son, Sean Weddle of Gilbert; daughter, Hayley Carter of Gilbert; brothers, Ron Weddle of Gilbert and Donnie Weddle of Texas; and mother, Josie Weddle of Washington.
