Buck Davis, a.k.a. Dan Noakes, has ended his battle with cancer and went to be with the Lord on February 1, 2007.

During his life Dan worked as a stunt man for Universal Studios from 1980 through 1981 and appeared in episodes of the A-Team. In 1977, Dan was also the National Midwest Fast Draw Champion.

Dan was a devoted member of Southwest Legends Gunfighters joining us in February 2001. Dan played many different parts in our organization and in many different roles to include Bat Masterson. He also played a major role in helping to design and build Jamestown, our Wild West performance location near Arizona City AZ. Dan played a great bad guy on stage, but you could not find a more devoted friend. He truly enjoyed entertaining our audiences and made the most of every opportunity to perform. His wife Vicki Noakes (Miss Rosie) has also been a valuable asset to our organization.

Dan could out-draw, out-fall, and out-die any of us and he will be greatly missed by many Reenactors and fans.
