Doc, a.k.a. Jim Davis is the founder of Southwest Legends Gunfighters. His interest started while hanging around on the sets of Television westerns where his father worked as a stunt man.
In 1995, Jim decided to put together an American West performance group with people whose interests and hobbies lie in keeping the American Old West alive. He is also an ordained minister, and performs weddings (two of which were interrupted by no-account gunslingers who were quickly disposed of).
Jim is very serious when it comes to educating children about gun safety and awareness. Whenever Southwest Legends Performs and there are children present, we will always put on our Firearms awareness quiz for as many of the children as we can. Jim has performed in schools and left many a youngster with not only a deputy's badge, but the knowledge of what to do if they see or find an unattended firearm.
Currently, Doc has finished construction on a beautiful new home in the newly formed western town called Jamestown, south of Casa Grande. Of course, he is Sheriff, and Justice of the Peace. Jamestown is the new home of Southwest Legends gunfighters and is a complete working western town. Where we can host your next western event complete with gunfighters, saloon girls, and townspeople all in a beautiful desert setting.
Jim Davis has been growing that mustache since November, 1972.
