National Day of the Cowboy
Florence, AZ Florence is the County Seat of Pinal County and the traditional Law in Pinal County. Its County Jail hosted many of Arizona's bad men (and in the case of Pearl Hart, bad women) with justice rigorously dispensed from the Courthouse Gallows. It was also the banking and commercial center and the railhead for most travel & commerce. Events: Florence will be highlighting its place in Arizona History with a variety of events. 2nd Anniversary of Jamestown AZ Wild West Entertainment Facility On Saturday September 6th SWLG will begin our 13th Season at Jamestown. We will be celebrating the 1st anniversary of performing our Wild West shows for our guests. The event will be held from 9:00am - 5:00pm. We will have other Gunfighter groups that will be performing at Jamestown during this special event. Each group will have approx 30 minutes to perform on stage during the day. There will also be a Reenactors Period Camp, Civil War Reenactors, Western Entertainers & Musicians, Clothing Venders and food for sale. If your group would like to join us for this special event please contact James & Carla Davis at (602) 882-0482 or E-mail them at swlg1880@msn.com During this event, our guests will be welcomed to walk around our set and encampment to take pictures and talk with our performers & re-enactors between shows. Eloy's seventh annual Fiestas Patrias celebration The event, marked for Friday, Sept. 14 from 12 p.m. - 10 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 15 from 9 a.m. - 12 a.m., honors Mexico's Independence Day with Mexican food and merchandise, music mariachi music, folklorico dancing, and other cultural traditions. This year's Fiestas Patrias will also hold a parade at 9 a.m. on Saturday. The entire celebration is an alcohol-free event to take place at the Main Street Park in downtown Eloy off of Hwy. 84 (Frontier Street). The family-oriented event helps promote the area's rich Latino culture for younger and older generations with fun and informational booths. The American Heritage Festival Schnepf Farms of Queen Creek, AZ The American Heritage Festival is a grand scale educational presentation of diverse civilian and military aspects of historic American life as portrayed by a large and experienced cast of historical interpreters assembled from around the country.
